Maybe it is her signature parting handshake at the end of every appointment, or any of several other qualities, but legit, it simply doesn’t get any better than Physician Assistant Meghan Pribyl (PA-C). That’s just a fact!! She has mad skills wrapped in a lovely presence of manner that lights up the room. It’s as rare in healthcare as it is refreshing. Never interrupting or over talking, Meghan makes solid eye contact and just listens. It’s like she already knows my discomfort, she’s that present and engaged. Over the course of several visits about a complicated nagging issue, Meghan consistently has met me where I am, and with a sprawling sense of patience and nonjudgmental compassion, she gifts me with articulate, sensible explanations that validate my discomfort and offer promise and possibility. In this day and age of managed healthcare with its hastily cobbled together patchwork solutions by overwhelmed providers, Meghan’s caring and self-assured approach to healing is nothing short of holy.
You know, when it comes to kind and decent medical care (“bedside manner”), it’s been said that “we don’t remember what is done at a doctor’s appointment as much as we remember how our visit made us feel.” With Meghan, there’s no tradeoff. It’s all that good. Fact is, what one gets in a visit with Meghan Pribyl is a sum of patient care far greater than its parts. And she has never hesitated to bring in a physician to confirm her careful measurements for my best and highest good. It’s these sorts of outcomes that convince me you can’t walk away from a visit to her office and not feel you mattered. Understandably, Meghan is in high demand and must balance a tight schedule. But here’s my point: it’s not the quantity of time she offers, it’s that every minute of it drips with a felt sense of priority and focus that is utterly of this moment. I defy anyone to show me another healthcare provider with any diploma who can return quality to quantity like Meghan Pribyl.
As I think about it, it wouldn't matter what Meghan chose to pursue in life, she would own it. Lucky for us, Meghan found her gift and calling doing precisely what she does at Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center of New Mexico. And for those of us who dwell in New Mexico’s high desert sunny climate, our community, “this world”, is a much better place because she is in it. Any reviews of Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center of New Mexico that don’t have all the stars in the universe attached didn’t have Meghan Pribyl in their visit.

​“This is to commend Dr. Davis for his skill and concern for patients. He performed a successful Mohs procedure on my forehead in mid morning, Nov 2, 2016. I take Plavix which he commented was "working well" as he performed the procedure. His assistant called me about 4PM to check on my condition ... I was OK. To my surprise, Dr. Davis himself then also called me about 10PM to ask if there was unusual bleeding ... there was none.”

No only did he get rid of the cancer...he re-created my nose and it was a miracle how he made it so smooth so that you have to really look to see the scar. “I had MOHS surgery right at the tip of my nose. Although I lived in Santa Fe, I was referred to Dr. Chang because of the cosmetic consequences of the surgery. He was personable, professional and was a great communicator. I needed a skin graft, so it was a bit more than I had suspected. But a month later, it looks pretty good. In addition to the initial surgery, when I went to have my stitches out, I was worried about another spot on my face. Although it was unscheduled, Dr. Chang came in and had a look, took a biopsy and if it came back positive, he was going to treat it right there. Luckily, it was benign, but I was really impressed with his commitment to great service. Thank you Dr. Chang.” ​

“My experience at Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center was one of the best I've ever had at a medical facility. I was fortunate to have the team of Dr. Michael Chang and Teresa -- compassionate, efficient, thorough, yet patient with my many questions. Teresa generously responded to my needs for clarification. These guys obviously know there's more to health care than a scalpel and a lab.
Also the office: clean and sleak, yet cozy with the aquarium. A beautiful place with beautiful people.
Sandy, beyond all of the above, Dr. Chang himself called me to check up on my post-operative care and to wish me a pleasant week-end.
